The Lento 50 stone bariatric recliner is British built with a heavy-duty steel frame for users up to a weight limit of 50 stone (317.5 kg), with a reinforced footrest that can facilitate 25 stone (158kg). This is a chair that is built for the rigorous use of heavier clients, offering comfort and safety at the same time.
The bariatric rise & recline chair model offers full positioning flexibility and a range of recline options to suit users no matter the complexity of their needs, their size, or their shape. This makes it ideal if you are looking for a chair to suit you or your client at home, or otherwise to suit multiple people in multi-user healthcare environments.
You can also choose whether you want your chair to be manually or electronically controlled, with the further option of single of dual motor action using an ergonomically designed and easy-to-reach handset that magnets to the side of the chair.
Pressure care and relief is vital when looking after heavier users, as they are often sat in their chair for longer periods of time and have significantly more pressure points with larger loads, putting them at great risk of developing ulcers.
That’s why we have incorporated soft Dartex backrest cushions and medium-risk gel in the seat wrap as standard, to provide that all-important enhanced pressure relief. A higher risk alternating air cushion is also available to build into the seat if required.
With multiple backrest options (waterfall, lateral or cocoon), and other accessories and wedges for correct positioning, the Lento bariatric rise and recline chair has been designed to enable optimum postural support of plus-size users.
The four-motor action also allows tilt-in-space, backrest recline, vertical rise, and forward tilt to help the user reposition as needed and rise to a standing position.
This chair is compatible with regular standaids and mobile hoists, assisting transfers and helping patients who struggle to weight bear.
The modular design of the Lento bariatric chair makes it easy to replace or repair parts when necessary, making it ideal for hospitals and other multi-user care environments.

All cushions on the Bariatric chair can be supplied with magnetic fastenings, instead of velcro, to make them better for infection control in multi-user healthcare environments. Additionally, the easy to clean cushion covers can be removed and machine washed, making this one of the most hospital friendly bariatric seating solutions on the market.
