Practical Risk Assessment – The Role of the Therapist

In this lively speech from YORTRAIN GOLD 2015, Simon Love, a well-known manual handling consultant, covered a wide range of moving and handling and risk management techniques. Risk assessments can be seen as a dull (but necessary) subject, but Simon broke convention and both interesting and enjoyable! He even had delegates carrying out the ‘Egress Test’ on themselves in the presentation hall, which is a quick and easy way to determine how much assistance a patient needs to transfer.
