The Levara is a basic-spec riser recliner built for busy healthcare settings that demand functionality and affordability.
This chair is a lower-cost alternative to the Lento chairs but still meets high standards of infection control and comfort, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all patients.
As a non-adjustable chair, the Levara comes in standard sizes (small, medium or large) and is designed for use in a variety of hospital wards, including General Medicine, Oncology, Maternity, Neurology, and more.
A portable chair at heart, the Levara can move nimbly around different rooms and wards and fits neatly up against hospital beds with its narrow profile. The Levara is fitted with four smooth braked castors and a height adjustable push handle, facilitating efficient patient transfers and repositioning.
The rise function lifts people into a standing position who may be unsteady on their feet, rising vertically at first then gradually tilting them forward. This function promotes early mobilisation, designed to aid patient recovery and improve independence.
Engineered for multi-ward usage, this chair adheres to stringent infection control guidelines, making it ideal for healthcare settings. The steel frame, Dartex seat and cushion fabrics, and Maximo vinyl outer coverings are very durable, and can be vigorously wiped down with standard detergents on a regular basis. Care has been taken to ensure that there are no hard-to-reach areas on the entire chair design either, eliminating the risk of dirt build-up.
The waterfall backrest comes as standard with the Levara, providing enhanced comfort with the soft, pillow-like cushions which are sewn into the backrest and shape to the user’s profile.
A unique feature of the Levara is it is compatible with the Sara Stedy and other regular stand-aids and mobile hoists, which is quite rare for more basic recliners.

We recommend Maximo for even the most demanding of environments! It's soft and supple to the touch, yet extremely tough - it has successfully completed a 300,000+ rub test! What's more, it can be cleaned with bleach, and has a stretch to it to prevent splitting.
