The Lento Bariatric Care Chair brings tailored support to individuals with higher body weights and postural challenges.

The seat depth, width and arm height can all be easily adjusted to resize the chair for different people, without needing any special training or tools.

The wider 28-inch seat ensures better weight distribution and comfort for larger individuals, while retaining all of the industry-leading clinical functionality of the original Lento.

Where patients are living with medical conditions, the extra adjustability and support provided by the Lento Bariatric Care Chair helps to avoid deconditioning, and therefore extra hospital admissions.

Chair Movements: Functional and Comfortable

• Locking Tilt in Space – The locking tilt-in-space function pivots the user back in the chair and redistributes their weight more evenly across contact areas. This is beneficial for pressure relief, as well as offering more postural support, improved circulation, assisted breathing and swallowing, and more.
• Backrest Recline – The backrest has independent recline enabling easy repositioning and more comfort.
• Articulating Leg Rest – The extendable footrest with gel leg rest wrap provides pressure relief.
• Angle Adjustable Footplate – The padded footplate is height and angle adjustable, helping to facilitate postural issues in the lower limbs such as windswept feet, swelling or plantar flexion.
• Arm Adjustments – The arm height can be adjusted on the Lento Bariatric Care Chair, as well as being fully removeable for side transfers.

In-Built Pressure Relief as Standard

The soft four way stretch Dartex material (which is a medical fabric developed for the NHS) to all contact surfaces keeps the skin cool and hydrated, protecting the surface of the skin.

For even more support and comfort, the standard backrest cushions can be swapped out for waterfall or latera backrests, to suit the postural needs of each individual client.  Wedges and other supporting cushions are also available to ensure correct body positioning in the chair.

Other Features:

Ideal For Infection Control: The unique modularity of the chair allows the seat and sides to be easily removed and magnetic cushions detached (no velcro), leaving the base of the chair exposed for cleaning.  All materials can withstand rigorous and regular wiping with standard detergents, and the cushion covers can also be removed for machine washing.
