What is a shower chair?
Shower chairs are basically bathing aids that assist disabled users and their carers with bathing and toileting routines.
A bit like waterproof wheelchairs, they can be moved around the bathroom with ease. The aperture in the seat and seat clearance allows the user to be positioned over the toilet. Made from waterproof materials they are resistant to corrosion and are generally built from a metal frame with mesh fabric or soft seat. Some hybrid models double up as a shower/commode chair.
